Pre-Trib Research Center: A Hermeneutical House of Horrors: Some Historical Notes on The Interpretation of Bible Prophecy

Pre-Trib Research Center: A Hermeneutical House of Horrors: Some Historical Notes on The Interpretation of Bible Prophecy: "3)Is the Church in the Olivet Discourse? Are both Israel and the Church here? After all, the Lord has introduced the Church in three passages (and possibly in the parable of the pearl of the great price). Must we press the obvious Jewish cast of Matthew 24:4-25 to embrace the latter half of the chapter and the next chapter? Was there anything in the Olivet Discourse directly for the church age as it was written well into that time frame? I don't think this is nailed down air-tight. There are discussable issues here.

The Future History of the Church-Part 1 - Moriel Ministries

The Future History of the Church-Part 1 - Moriel Ministries: "The unsaved are already deceived by the devil; he is out to deceive two kinds of people: the nation of Israel and the Bible-believing church. The nation of Israel is under a spiritual darkness. We see their signs in many places, including Jerusalem, Stamford Hill in London and Crown Heights in Brooklyn, saying 'We want the Mashiach now!' Jesus gave a double prediction in John's Gospel that the Jews would believe another who came in His name, though they did not believe Him. This was fulfilled in the early church's time by Simon bar Kochba, but it is certainly also a symbol of the Antichrist, who will deceive the Jewish people into thinking that he is their Messiah. The Jews are being set up for this.
So we see that the devil has the world deceived and the Jews deceived; who is he out to deceive now? You and me. Read Matthew 7, Acts 20, Matthew 24, and Luke 21. The false teachers and false prophets that we are warned about in these passages are the ones who get into the church to deceive the elect."

Yoga: "'The first signs of Jewish mysticism can be fond in the 1st century while the study of the Dead Sea Scrolls may date knowledge on the subject even earlier.'11 'Jewish mysticism' was picked up in Babylon. It was Babylonian paganism (the basis for gnosticism), that some Jewish men living in Babylon adopted and adapted to the Hebrew Bible (using the Bible for its Names and numbers, etc.), giving Babylonian gnosticism its 'Jewish clothes.' Some of these 'clothes' came because of the need of the Jewish People:"

The Millennial Temple

The Millennial Temple: "The Millennial Temple

Amillenarians challenge, and at times berate, the Premillenarians who teach that the Temple described in Ezekiel chapters 40-48, and the sacrifices presented there, are to be interpreted and understood literally. Their rejection of a literal interpretation of these chapters is based upon the unbiblical notion that God is forever finished with national Israel being replaced by the Church which, they claim, is now 'spiritual Israel.' Their assertion is that national Israel in the Old Testament was merely a type of the Church now realized in the New Testament. And that the Messianic Kingdom, covenantly as well as prophetically promised by God to that nation, having no physical, earthly reality at all, was to be a spiritual (i.e., spiritualized) kingdom. But it is these allegations, when held up to the scrutiny of God's literal Word, that can find no Scriptural reality at all."

Replacement Theology

Replacement Theology: "The Church is Totally Different and Distinct from Israel
Although being suppressed throughout the history of the Church, the view that Israel and the Church are different is clearly taught in the New Testament. In this view, the Church is completely different and distinct from Israel and the two are never to be confused or used interchangeably. We are taught from Scripture that the Church is an entirely new creation, that came into being on the Day of Pentecost and will continue until it is translated to Heaven at the Rapture (Eph. 1:9-11). The Church has no relationship to the curses and blessings for Israel, the covenants, promises and warnings are valid only for Israel. Israel has been set aside in God's program during these past 2,000 years of dispersion. The Lord has preserved the Jewish people through great persecutions, though they are largely in unbelief."
